Converts a 3½"-8 external thread to a dovetail mount
The 235-17 has an internal 3½"-8 thread on its underside, which mounts to many of our stands and other adapters. A through-hole in the adapter accepts a dovetail mount such as that found on our various lateral slides, and allows unrestricted plummet sights. Two socket head setscrews secure the inserted dovetail, and allow the lateral slide (or other dovetail-equipped unit) to rotate into any azimuth direction until tightened.
