To switch Northing and Easting (invert coordinates) upon import in Leica Captivate, customize the import ASCII format to map the columns correctly(e.g., set Column 2 as Northing and Column 3 as Easting). This is done within the Import/export ASCII data screen by editing the format definition to match the file structure.
1. Start Import: Go to Import or Export > Import select ASCII data.
2. Define Format: In the Import screen, select your file and scroll to the format configuration, or click to edit/create a new format template.
3. Tap function and then Settings. Change Layout
4. Map Columns: Within the format definition, define the column order to correspond with your data file. If your file is E, N, Z, but you need N, E, Z, set the mapping so the second data column is assigned to Northing and the first to Easting.
5. Confirm Export/ Import: Save the format and proceed with the import.
